The Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) has been set up since 1990 to promote public awareness of environmental issues and encourage the public to contribute actively towards a better environment. Our team integrated the well-known mascot figure - Big Waster into the narrative and redesign the image of the social media channels with aims to promote environmental protection messages to public.

Objective.
ECC's social media platforms aim at promoting public awareness of environmental issues and encouraging eco-friendly lifestyles. How we did it.
This is achieved through clear content pillar separation, which allows for easy navigation and engagement. Meanwhile, newsjacking approach is adopted to achieve a viral effect across the social media, which combines the hot topics and memes with Big Waster image to convey educational messages. Tips and guides content is straight-forward and easy to understand, while newsjacking content rides on hot social topics to keep followers engaged. With these efforts, ECC hopes to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in the public and create a more sustainable future for our planet.
